Reopening of worship services (May 30, 2020)

IBF will be resuming worship services on June 5 (Friday service) and June 7 (Sunday services). However, we will have shorter services of only 1 hour long. Sunday morning service will be begin at 11:00am instead of 10:30am.

The program will consist of worship songs (limited to about two), a shorter sermon, offering, and the benediction. Sunday School (CS) will be conducted during the morning service, but the children will not be divided into age groups.

After each service, we will disinfect the rooms. Before going home, if you can spare the time to help with disinfecting we would appreciate your assistance.

We hope to keep each service to about 25 attendees, in order to avoid crowding in a small room.

The morning services of June 7 and June 14 will be recorded and uploaded onto the church website.

If you have a fever or feel unwell, please refrain from attending church and instead worship with us at home, through the uploaded videos.

In particular, if you have an Internet connection at home and reside in the prefectures that the government has placed under caution (to avoid unnecessary travel until June 18 at least), please worship with us via the videos online.

However, please understand that in order to run the physical services, board members, the pastor, and others will be traveling into Chiba prefecture.

As we proceed in coming months, the church board is considering how things should be done in view of Covid-19 and how to avoid spread of infection. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as we work matters out.

We eagerly look forward to meeting with you again.

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” — John 4:23
